Production [edit]
The linking scenes between the two journalists were shot in Australia, and the sexual practice scenes were filmed over 12 days in Los Angeles by an Australian director and cinematographer, using American porn stars.[ane]
The budget was larger on the sequel in an attempt to attract a bigger audition; in contrast with the original, where just i of the ten stories was lip sync and the remainder in vocalisation over, all the stories in Fantasm Comes Again had lip sync dialogue. Ginnane subsequently thought this was a mistake as information technology distracted from what was on screen.
Reception [edit]
The movie sold well around the globe but was non as pop as Fantasm at the Australian box role.[1] Ginnane blamed the fact by the time information technology was released at that place was a glut of sex films on the marketplace and the delay acquired by censorship concord ups. (In 1980 David Stratton called it "the about censored of the new Australian films."[iii]) By 1979 the movie had not yet cleaved even but Ginnane was confident that would exist the example.[2]
Ginnane later said that he felt Colin Eggleston was but as competent a director every bit Richard Franklin only thought his sense of humour was different "and perchance it didn't suit the material as well".[2]
